Satisfied with the services

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went to interstate battery dealer with my battery not charging still under warranty. They said they wasn't able to help me.

So I went to the IB dealership on 50th street here in Columbus GA. I met with Bill and I've got to say I was given top priority. He was courteous treated me like I was the only customer.

Very educated about his products. Informed him of other services offered.

Interstate Battery has my business from here on.

Thanks Bill I appreciated being treated as a valued customer

My maxima was hooked up backwards. The battery was shorted out. The fuse car would not turn on. It stayed there for a week finally got sent to a garage on port Street. I took it to dealership I paid

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had taken my car to interstate because I needed a battery. They hooked it up backwards, shorting out fuses.

My car stayed there for a week. Finally it was sent to a backyard garage on port Street car lasted for three days. Then it went out again the alternator that was installed was a bit rebuilt one they did not want to take responsibility or fix it.

Interstate manager did not return. My calls was ignoring me when I would go I was given the attitude interstate .Vehicle Mechanic paid $350 for a or whatever new alternator and $150 labor car was never the same I had to trade in

Was sent the wrong battery

Bought through amazon, filled out the form describing make, model, engine size etc. but was sent the wrong size battery.

Return request was approved. Seller sent a return label. I boxed it up, took it to UPS paid $62.00 to ship it.

It came back.

UPS said the seller had moved?

UPS says they will reship it when I have the right address for another $62.00. This has become a very very expensive battery, and I have learned a very good lesson.

User's recommendation: Do not order online, its cheaper to hire a tow truck and send the car to a shop, buy whatever battery the shop sells and be done with it. Don't get me wrong, I think Interstate batteries are superior, but they are a heavy item to send back.

Customer service :(

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Hi there,

Long story short my battery died in a nearby parking lot. Was able to get it started and immediately headed to interstate battery in university park sarasota fl where our whole family shops.

Was happy to see it was open for a while longer so i could purchase battery and get it installed.

Unfortunately the person at desk was able to sell a battery but not install or see if at least I did it properly. He said " it's starting to get dark" it was definitely bright enough to see but he refused. He told me to return in the morning...unfortunately my battery would be dead and additionally I was on my way to a function. He didnt even come out to ask how it was going or to take my old battery inside.

Additionally, no discount was offered since i had to install it myself. I understand if it's truly dark but it wasn't and to not even provide even gratuitous customer support verbal or otherwise was not what I expected from this company. Was glad I was able to install it myself even though I got a little grimey in process...which was only an issue because i had an event to attend.

So I appreciated the battery but not the customer service. Next time I guess I can purchase anywhere.

Oh well.

This is my 21 year old u1 size AGM deep cycle battery it has been used in solar lighting projects, trolling motors, and even a power wheels jeep. It has been charged by solar PWM charging as well as conventional chargers.

It's stored mostly inside when not in use but is currently powering my Christmas lights on my front gate. This is an exceptional example of longevity but shows what this Interstate battery is made of!

So my wife and I purchased 4 brand new 12v golf cart batteries in April! Just a few weeks ago, the cart wasn't holding a charge!

The one terminal/post was completely loose and bent! They will not warranty the battery bc they are saying it is our fault, bad installation, overcharging blah blah blah! No, it wasn't, or it would not have worked for 5 months! They are refusing to cover the battery!

So we pay 1k for 4 batteries and now another $250, and they are trying to void the 1 tear warranty!

DO NOT BUY INTERSTATE! THEY SUCK AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A WARRANTY

Unhappy with outcome

Original review Sep 21, 2022
I.had my riding lawn mower serviced by local lawn and garden center. The second time I went to use it it wouldn't start.

I didn't worry about it at the time because I could use the push. I recently tried to fix the problem and discovered that the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I didn't know interstate battery only had a six month warranty. I never would have thought a new battery would have went bad.

And even though the problem happened during warranty period because I waited to long to report it. I suspected the warranty period was.over for full refund but had hoped I'd get some credit toward replacement battery

IBad practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Went to location on 63rd & Ward yesterday. To replace my battery, which was warrantied as full replacement for 30 months, then a certain % of srp extending out to 6 years.

The kid behind the counter said "we are a franchised store so you'll have to take it to where you purchased it from". That was incorrect. Went back today, got my new battery and according to the terms of original purchase I was to receive 25% off next purchase, new battery cost $190. I asked if they have a military discount and was told yes.

After buying the new battery I was told I was saving $47. Driving away, the math didn't add up so I went back. The kid told me I didn't get the military discount because they can't combine offers. First of all, the 25% is not a discount, it is the execution of a warranty, a partial repayment because the battery I originally bought was suppose to last 6 yrs, and it didn't.

Second, by not giving me the military discount you're saying "thank you for your service, as long as you're not claiming a warranty". If it wasn't for people like me, you'd be saying discount batteries in russain, or mandarin. I have two words for you.

No class. I will get my batteries elsewhere in the future.

Unhappy and feeling cheated

The location of my problem store was First Street, Albuquerque, New. Mexico.

Original review May 14, 2022
I seen a family in need of a jump start, and I was just a few blocks from Interstate battery on First street, in Albuquerque, NM. I decided to purchase a set of cables to help them and had the choice of NAPA or Interstate battery.

I chose Interstate battery, thinking that they would be fair, but when I asked about cables, they said they would cost $200 for a set. I told them they were crazy and started to leave, and they said oh, wait, we dont have the two hundred dollar set, we only the one hundred dollar set. I told them that was still overpriced but the family was waiting for me in high temperatures.

So I purchased the cables for $100, but could have got the same quality of cables for $20 had I gone to NAPA. They can blame COVID but I think it is nothing but greed.
