Warranty not honored. | Interstate Batteries review from Gloversville, New York

Bought three 5 year Interstate batteries. In my 1992 Buick the battery would no longer hold a charge after less than 2 years. Service station where I bought the batteries didn't have replacement 5 year battery. Replaced with a 2 year warranty battery and said that was the same battery (I'd say I should have 3 years left). Contacted Interstate Customer Service (after much jerk around/avoidance maneuvers). Customer said that was the correct battery (smoke & mirrors). After premium price for 5 year battery I get a cheaper battery "replacement". Lies and "B.S." No more Interstates for me.

Interstate Battery is just a marketing company. They have used multiple manufacturers in recent years - whoever is cheapest builds them and lack of quality is the result.

My car was totally deD on Easter. Was towed to dealership and battery ended up being DEAD. Had to take to Interstate office and was told to leave it overnight for charging, had to pay $25 for loaner and if the charge would work $20 for charging IT. Long story short, battery was DEAD. Do not trust this product and will NEVER purchase another INTERSTATE BATTERY.

Useless | Interstate Batteries review

After purchasing interstate batteries for my 2003 maxima on two separate occasions, I can explicitly say that they are useless ! A 5 year warranty is meaningless when said battery lasts only 18 months ! In Arizona there is no such thing as a 5 year battery as they are destroyed by the heat ! That being said when they prorated my battery which cost $220.00 I still ended up paying $150.00 for another ! It’s a scam !!

Customer blame | Interstate Batteries review from New Braunfels, Texas

Details
1st battery bought in Agusta at Interstate store, 1 year later it fails, and we are told it was used and not under warranty. So we purchased another cca900 for $280. Then 6 months later it fails. They exchanged it for a cca750 that cost $169 new and charged us $100. This one won't work a week later. No exchange, no refund. Then after calling corporate they blamed the dead one on us, saying it had to havebeen installed backwards, even car was driven for 6 month.

Won't stand behind their warranty because it doesn't transfer to different owner? | Interstate Batteries review from Woodstock, Illinois

1.3
Details
Purchased a used 2003 Focus Zx3 in August 2017. Interstate battery had 6/16 manufacturer date on it. So was practically brand new still. Now this battery won't hold a charge. I called customer service and inform the lady of my situation. Mind you, this battery is only 2.5 years old and hasn't been abused in any way. She says that the warranty doesn't transfer to the next owner and that it could have been abused before I purchased the car. Really??? What a disappoint in this company Interstate. Steer clear of this brand if you're smart. P.S. it's a 5 year battery.
